vinegars that they produce throughout
the year. Dependant on the seasons and
harvests the fruit's available play their
inevitable part in determining which
fruits are available for us to create fine
produce for you and therefore not all
lines will be available at all times.

Start of the Holly And The Ivy Christmas 2008 selection now
available
Christmas 2008 if we like it or not is now
approaching at a great speed Holly And The Ivy have started
to think about Christmas ideas for the family and friends.
We have
started the selection with a small gift pack of 5 assorted 45ml Jams
and Marmalades from our of handmade
products that would be a great gift to someone to use on the
Christmas Day Breakfast table.
We have also included a "Hot Range" gift pack
of 4 assorted Chutneys in a presentation sleeve which would be ideal
accompaniment for the Christmas Night Tea.
"Old Fashioned" Christmas Puddings are also
available in 2 sizes. These traditional puddings are exactly what
one would expect of a traditional old fashioned pudding. It is very
moist, packed with finest quality fruit and a good helping of
"Christmas Cheer"
All the Christmas ideas from Holly And The Ivy
are available from Farmers Markets we will be attending on the run

2008 soft fruit jam
Lin is currently in full production of the 2008 season jam which
this year has been so far extremely good quality. A large proportion
of this years soft fruits have been procured from fellow FM fruit
growers Manor Farm Fruits, Hints, Staffordshire. New for this season
is Peach Malber, Gooseberry and many more existing combinations that
has been the calling card for Lin. Come and sample these and many
more from the hollyandtheivy.co.uk stalls at the FM we attend.

Lin asked to do another cooking
demonstration this time at the prestigious 2008 Ludlow Food Festival
Ludlow Food & Drink Committee has asked Lin if she
would do two cooking demonstration in the main Demonstration Kitchen
in the castle
at the 2008 Ludlow Food & Drink Festival on the 13th - 14th
September.
Lin has
commented that the last time she donned an apron it was in the
kitchen of the television chief Rosemary Schrader when she was a
contestant in the televised programme screened late last year on
ITV1.
Lin also
commented that " It has become a standard thing to do at these shows
and I am grateful to Beth and the committee to give me the opportunity".

as a PDF download from this site or for people attending the 2 day
show recipes will be available from the hollyandtheivy.co.uk
stall.

New twist to an old favourite English
Pickle from hollyandtheivy.co.uk
After comments from a regular customer at the recent Moseley Farmers
a new idea came to Lin for a twist on an old English favourite
pickle. Thus PICCACHILLI was born !!!!!. Based on a best
selling "Luxury Piccalilli" that hollyandtheivy.co.uk has been
producing for some 2 years Piccachilli is full of the
expected crunchy, chunky vegetables in a mustard sauce, but our
special pickle has added ginger, cayenne and cumin as well as
CHILLI. This new pickle will be
available as from the 6th June at Solihull Farmers Market. COME
AND SAMPLE IF YOU DARE !!!

Come and try our Smoked Chillies we have for sale. We now have
limited amount of Green, Scotch Bonnet & Thai Red FRESH CHILLIES
Smoked in Apple Wood. Smoked Chillies still have the bite you would
expect, but smoking gives them a very unusual taste when used in
food.
